The Assessment Center
Psychological Assessment is a process for identifying the psychological
strengths and difficulties of an individual. The process most often involves
interviewing the client, reviewing her or his history, the administration of
objective measures, obtaining her or his self-description through self-report
inventories and scales, and projective tests. It is commonly used by Clinical
Psychologists to clarify the most efficient methods of treating a psychotherapy
client, and it can significantly reduce the amount of time in therapy, and
increase its
effectiveness.
