Specialty Clinics

The Shyness Clinic
Under the direction of Dr. Lynne Henderson, the PGSP Gronowski Clinic is now operating the Shyness Clinic as a specialty program. The Shyness Clinic is an evidence based group and individual treatment program for treating individuals with social anxiety, avoidant personality problems and shyness. The Shyness Clinic follows a "mental wellness" or Social Fitness Model (©Lynne Henderson, Ph.D.) of treatment with a focus on encouraging participants to expand their current capabilities.

Bipolar Disorders Clinic
The Bipolar Disorders clinic provides evidence-based treatment including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that teaches people specific cognitive and behavioral skills to help them control and even prevent serious mood swings. The treatment approach is a structured systematic psychotherapy which complements the use of medications and based on methods known to be effective.

PTSD/Trauma Clinic
The Early Intervention Clinic collaborates with the Gronowski clinic by providing referrals and clinician training on assisting trauma survivors.  The Trauma Clinic provides 5 weeks of counseling services to individuals who have experienced a traumatic event within the last 6 months. Services are offered free as part of a research project comparing different approaches in assisting those who have experienced trauma. Participants must meet certain criteria to be eligible to receive this service.

Stress Management
The Inner Resources Program provides assistance for stress related problems including use of meditation, relaxation and developing coping resources and conducts psychoeducational programs, clinical interventions, professional training, and research concerning the applications of mind-body therapies, especially meditation, for mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.

Psychological Assessment Center
The Psychological Assessment Center provides moderately priced comprehensive psychological assessments including administration of state-of-the-art, psychological instruments conducted by an advanced doctoral student, and is supervised by an experienced, licensed psychologist.
